The Sleep of Reason

This is a very personal project. These illustrations were sent to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2020 for the Illustrators Exhibition. My work was not selected but it was a great opportunity to create something quite experimental where I could express my inner voice in some way.

I do not have much space here to can say all I want about this project, maybe will write an article in my blog!

This is a work influenced by my Spanish Heritage (especially for the inspiration by the etching ‘The sleep of reason produces monsters’ by Francisco de Goya), the place I live now which is England and my personal ideas for expression as well as the topic ‘Memento mori’
